The community pulled together this weekend to raise thousands of dollars to help hundreds of Cayman’s children.

Dozens of local musicians and personalities signed on to help raise funds including Nathan Herrara and the Nuevo Mundo Trio (pictured).
This year’s National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) telethon held on Saturday 24 October, was the 36th annual event for the organisation. It pulled in more than $136,000, just shy of the $140,000 organisers hoped to raise.
With well over five hours of entertainment to fill, dozens of musicians and local personalities donated their time to help energise audiences on television, radio and at the Prospect Playhouse.
Over the next few weeks the NCVO will be collecting the money pledged.
All funds will go directly toward the six youth-based progammes, funded by the NCVO.
